2. Login issues
If you have trouble logging in, you can get help from the HM Customs Administration (HMRC).
User ID or password is lost
If you forget the user ID or password used to log in, you can:
If you lose your activation code:
Within 10 days of registering for the new online service, if you live abroad, you will receive a 12-digit activation code within 21 days. You did not receive a personal tax calculation code.
However, if you lose your password within 28 days of registration, please log in to the HMRC online service (https://www.gov.uk/log-in-register-hmrc-online-services) and apply for a new password.
If your code has expired
Please log in to HMRC’s online service (Here), and then subscribe to the service again (eg self-assessment)
Moreover, it may take up to 10 days for your verification code, or 21 days if you live abroad.
If your account is banned
Also, if you enter the wrong user ID or password 10 times, your account will be locked.
Your account will be opened in two hours. The help desk consultant could not open your account.

3. Register for HMRC online service
When registering for tax online, you will receive online login information for the HM Customs Administration (HMRC) service.
When you tell HMRC:
